The Fragrance Foundation officially kicks off the 2018 Awards season; submissions are open now. Top news at the Foundation is that it is introducing two new award categories: Consumer Choice – Fragrance Vlog of the Year and Home Holiday / Seasonal Fragrance Product of the Year. Deadline for all submissions is Jan. 17, 2018. Categories include: Fragrance of the Year (Luxury, Prestige and Popular) Fragrance of the Year nominees are evaluated based on fragrance marketing strategy, packaging and advertising. Indie Fragrance of the Year This award recognizes a fragrance created by a brand not distributed or owned by a large company. It is sold by fewer than 50 stores or e-tailers in theU.S. Packaging of the Year Nominees are evaluated based on bottle design, packaging and graphics. Media Campaign of the Year Campaigns – print and/or television – are judged based on innovative concept and resonance. Social Media Campaign of the Year This award honors the best use of social media by a brand. It is judged on concept and execution on social media channels and resonance of themessage. 360-Degree Marketing Campaign of the Year This award honors the best use of an all-around marketing campaign by a brand. It is judged on concept and execution of a marketing campaign that hitsall of the consumer touch points — advertising, public relations, social, online and in-store. Perfume Extraordinaire This award recognizes the actual fragrance or olfactive creation. Nominees are evaluated based on craftsmanship and aesthetic beauty. Breakout Star Award This award honors a fragrance that has been on the market between two and five years and has grown to be a breakout star, demonstrating consecutivegrowth years since launch. Home Collection of the Year Nominees are evaluated on fragrance, packaging and product innovation. Bath & Body Collection of the Year Nominees are evaluated on fragrance, packaging and product innovation. Home Holiday / Seasonal Fragrance Product of the Year NEW AWARD CATEGORY Nominees are evaluated on fragrance, packaging and product innovation. All Home Holiday or Seasonal Fragrance Products whose formulation and packaging are created specifically for a holiday celebrated in the United Statesor a seasonal fragrance product. Consumer Choice The Fragrance Foundation Consumer Choice Award represents the voice of American consumers and names their favorite fragrances — men’s andwomen’s. Consumer Choice – Fragrance Hall of Fame This award recognizes a fragrance classic that has achieved legendary status. Entries will be vetted by the Board of Directors and finalists will be votedon by consumers. Consumer Choice – Fragrance Vlog of the Year NEW AWARD CATEGORY This award honors a creative fragrance vlog (video blog – example youtube) with significant reach by a social media influencer. It is judged on conceptand execution as a vlog, fragrance storytelling, resonance of message and reach.
