The Kollektif Co. Opens Independent Cosmetic Lab Specializing in Custom Formulations

The Kollektif Co. has opened the doors to its new division, an independent cosmetic lab, which specializes in custom formulations. 

 

Founded by Fedora S. Hristov in 2020, The Kollektif Co. is a cosmetic, fragrance and wellness product development firm which provides clients services normally only available to larger enterprises. The firm offers a tailored range of services, ranging from strategic innovation planning to roadmapping, concept development and process management.

 

In the two years the firm has been operational, they have helped early-stage and established brands bring more than 30 products to market. The team draws upon a combined industry experience of over 50 years, as well as academic credentials earned from renowned cosmetics institutions like ISIPCA. Still in its early stages, the firm remains nimble and responsive to the needs of the customers, most recently opening an in-house formulation lab headed by industry veteran Venera Stojkoska.

 

“An increasing number of clients expressed interest in formula ownership, which their contract manufacturers didn’t offer. They wanted the flexibility to switch manufacturers or use more than one, mostly to improve timelines and be in control of their brands,” said Fedora S Hristov, founder and CEO of The Kollektif Co. “It was a real problem for them, and we took proactive measures to provide a solution by offering formulation services.”

 

The Kollektif Co is headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, and the lab is located in Teaneck, NJ.
