The big news from Rhodia following the conclusion of In-Cosmetics was the agreement to be acquired by Solvay in a friendly cash-offer. Both companies hope that the move will create a large, global company that is committed to sustainable development.

Solvay may be acquiring it, but Rhodia still promoted several products during In-Cosmetics. Jaguar C500 is the latest innovative conditioning guar polymer from Rhodia. This natural ingredient is said to be ideal for volumizing shampoos and leave-in conditioners. Hair feels light, manageable and infused with volume so it looks healthy and full of body, according to Rhodia.

Jaguar HP120 is a rapidly hydrated thickener derived from guar that is fully compatible with alcohol for easy formulation of soap-free antibacterial hand gels. According to Rhodia, the quick hydration of Jaguar HP120 reduces manufacturing cycle time, thus optimizing gel production. This easy-to-use material helps formulators create hydro-alcoholic antibacterial solutions with moisturizing ingredients such as glycerine to leave hands clean and soft.

Finally, Miracare SLB is a rheology control technology based on surfactant liquid crystals that deliver uniquely textured products. It can stabilize high levels of natural oils, suspend high density particles and enable formulators to incorporate high levels of fragrances and essential oils.
