US 8,993,503 B2; Procter & Gamble has patented a liquid detergent. It is comprised of a surfactant system that is comprised of an alkoxylated anionic surfactant and an amine oxide surfactant and a viscosity modifier selected from the group consisting of electrolytes, organic solvents and mixtures thereof. The detergent is free of an external structurant selected from the group consisting of non-polymeric hydroxyl-containing materials, microfibrillated celluloses, polyacrylates, polysaccharides, polysaccharide derivatives and mixtures thereof. At 20°C, the detergent has a pouring viscosity of from about 2500 mPa s to about 6000 mPa s and a ratio of medium to high shear viscosity of from about 2 to about 1.
