Chemical manufacturer Airedale Group has taken on a new head of technical as it continues its investment in its specialist divisions.
Past Unilever executive Tony Griffin joins the chemical manufacturer with over 25 years’ experience at Sure deodorants and Jeyes cleaning fluids, among others.
“After more than two decades in R&D, I was keen to lead my own laboratory and this opportunity at Airedale Group allows me the freedom to develop my own skills and the specialist offering of the business,” said Griffin.
Founded in 1973 in England’s Cross Hills, Airedale Group provides chemicals and related services to the UK and Europe.
Griffin will run the production and operations departments, identifying ways to to increase efficiency and ensure commercial value.
“I’m also looking forward to spending more time with customers to truly understand their needs and how we can support their objectives,” he added.
The new role comes as the manufacturer places a focus on offering more to specialty industries from life science and surfactants to food and beverage and metal surface treatment, Richard Ward, managing director of Airedale Group, said.
