Turtle Wax is rolling out new Turtle Wax Rinse Free Wash & Wax, which the company is billing as “a time, money and water-saving means to clean and shine vehicles.” The all-in-one formula is said to wash and wax an entire car using just four ounces of product and two gallons of water.

“Turtle Wax Rinse Free Wash & Wax is one of our most exciting innovations to date, completely reinventing the way we wash cars, saving the consumer time while having a positive effect on the environment.Turtle Wax is proud to lead the way,” said Mike Schultz, senior vice president of product development for Turtle Wax. “This product uses special polymers that surround the dirt so you can simply wipe it away without rinsing.”

The company contends Turtle Wax Rinse Free Wash & Wax marks a shift in car care behavior as there is no longer a need for a driveway or a hose to wash a car. For example, apartment and city dwellers can wash their vehicle themselves on the street or in a parking lot.

The product, which can be used in direct sunlight with the added benefit of drying spot free, removes and transfers exterior dirt into the rinse bucket for proper disposal. Users dose out the wash and wax into a bucket with two gallons of water and dip a wash mitt or microfiber towel into the bucket and wash one section of the car at a time, without rinsing. The Chicago-based company says each section should be dried with a clean microfiber towel. Users then return the wash mitt to the bucket to release loose soils before cleaning the next section.

Turtle Wax Rinse Free Wash & Wax will be available next month for a suggested retail price of $7.99. One bottle can clean up to eight cars.
