The deodorant collection is available at 1,500+ Target stores nationwide.
January 15, 2020
By: Happi Staff
TypeA: Deodorant – the aluminum-free deodorant powered by sweat-activated technology–has inked a deal with Target as its first national brick and mortar retailer. Type:A Deodorant’s entry into Target allows the brand to follow in the footsteps of other direct-to-consumer brands who have had success after launching with the retail conglomerate. Joining the likes of other DTC brands including Harry’s, Barkbox, Casper and Quip, type:A Deodorant is set to enter over 1,500 stores nationwide on endcap displays in January, rolling out to the women’s deodorant aisle early February. Founded in 2018 by beauty industry veteran, Allison Moss, type:A Brands’s goal was to disrupt the deodorant category by offering a mainstream, no sacrifice alternative to current offerings. A Unique Formula Unlike other players in the deodorant category, type:A utilizes a time-release formula that allows its high performing, all-clean, active ingredients to fight odor and absorb wetness. With performance as her first priority, Moss quickly realized that a lightweight cream was the key to success. After taking into account the full user experience, she opted for a unique tube with button applicator as the best way to effectively and easily apply the deodorant cream. The sweat-activated formulation also allows for minimal use of ingredients like baking soda—so unlike most other natural deodorants, type:A’s soft, smooth cream formula can be applied without irritation. “At type:A Brands, we are committed to helping consumers everywhere lead healthier lives without sacrifice and to bring clean beauty to the forefront. In under two years of launching, we have done just that, which is why we are so excited to build on our success and partner with Target as their only clean, sweat-activated deodorant brand. Now, more people can access a no-sacrifice alternative to whatever it is that they’re currently using,” commented Moss. The type:A Deodorant collection is available at over 1,500 Target stores nationwide, and online at target.com.
