Venus Williams & Dove Promote New Soap Bar

Dove is also supporting a series of activities to celebrate body confidence.

Venus Williams and Dove have developed a special edition bar soap to support girls in sports. The Dove x Venus #KeepHerConfident Beauty Bar is the brand’s first-ever, limited-edition Dove Beauty Bar collaboration. The soap will not be on shelves; it will be given away in a sweepstakes, according to the Unilever-owned brand.

Elements were hand-selected by Williams, according to Dove. The commemorative Dove x Venus #KeepHerConfident Beauty Bar comes in a tennis ball-inspired green color with a passionfruit and lemon balm fragrance. The bar is engraved with “CONFIDENT” on the top.

The Happi Top 30 marketer also created a limited-edition canister made from recycled materials. The canister contains three Dove x Venus #KeepHerConfident Beauty Bars—a nod to tennis ball packaging.

Promotional Activities

In addition to the limited-edition Dove x Venus #KeepHerConfident Beauty Bar, Dove is supporting a series of activities to celebrate body confidence.

Dove will partner with Black Girls Tennis Club on an in-person tennis experience for middle school girls in NYC, hosted by tennis champion & entrepreneur Venus Williams, and infused with body-confidence building tips to take with them on-and-off the court.

Dove has partnered with Bras for Girls to donate over 1,000 sports bras, supporting late elementary to middle school girls – an age at which some girls choose to stop participating in sport due to discomfort with their changing bodies.

For those based in the New York City Metro area, Dove has partnered with Lyft, one of the largest transportation networks in North America, to give away a limited amount of the Dove x Venus #KeepHerConfident Beauty Bar canisters.
