Vichy Whips Up an 80th Anniversary Celebration

• At Vichy’s 80th Anniversary celebration held at Apella in New York City, the company rolled out new products as Zac Young, “Top Chef Just Desserts” finalist, rolled out a sweet treat.
At the event, the French beauty firm introduced ProEven Total Dark Spot Corrector, Normaderm Triple Action Anti-Acne Hydrating Lotion and Capital Soleil Soft Sheer Sunscreen SPF 30 and 60, while Young, executive pastry chef of Flex Mussels, whipped up a French cremoux that mimicked the texture of the new Capital Soleil sunscreen lotions. During his demonstration, Young explained how the steps to creating a French mousse are similar to the steps used by Vichy to create its innovative skin care products.

• Professional stylists, students and consumers filled classrooms to take part in Design Essentials Salon System’s “Design Essentials Presents DE Natural” and “Natural Versatility by Design Essentials” classes during the World of Natural Hair Show Atlanta.
Design Essentials natural educator Deshonica Green led three live demonstrations to teach class attendees the proper use of DE Natural and various ways to achieve twisted or curly styles using the products in the salon and for home maintenance.
Master educator Natalie Hayes guided classes through maintenance, styling, and finishing hair into straight, silky style using DE’s Ceramic pHusion technique, without the use of harsh chemicals.
