Yankee Candle Adds to Board

The Yankee Candle Company, Inc. today announced the appointment of Doreen A. Wright to the Company’s Board of Directors. Ms. Wright is currently SVP and Chief Information Officer of Campbell Soup Company. “We are extremely pleased that Doreen has agreed to join our Board, and we look forward to the many contributions that she will make as we continue to grow our Company,” said Craig W. Rydin, the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Yankee Candle. “Doreen’s broad-based business experience, including consumer packaged goods and financial services with leading companies, in conjunction with her rich information technology background and human resources experience will be of tremendous value as we continue to grow and build the power of our brand and business model.”

Ms. Wright joined Campbell Soup Company in 2001 as SVP and Chief Information Officer. During an interim period, Ms. Wright also served as the company’s top Human Resources executive in addition to her primary responsibilities. Prior to Campbell Soup Company, Ms. Wright was EVP and Chief Information Officer of Nabisco, Inc. Additionally, Ms. Wright held various key positions at Prudential Insurance Company, American Express Company, and Bankers Trust Company.
