Yankee Candle Names Rydin Chairman of the Board

The Yankee Candle Company, Inc., South Deerfield, MA, named Craig W. Rydin, the company’s chief executive officer as chairman of the board of directors. Mr. Rydin succeeds the company’s founder Michael J. Kittredge, who has resigned his position as chairman and member of the board and has been named chairman emeritus. Mr. Kittredge will continue to actively participate with and provide advice and counsel to the board and management team. Michael F. Hines as joins the board of directors. He currently serves as chief financial officer and chief administrative officer at Dick’s Sporting Goods, Inc. Mr. Hines was also named to the company’s audit committee.
