Dermalogica released its guidelines for salon reopening. The company globally trains more than 100,000 licensed skin care professionals each year, has approximately 40 flagship and concept stores internationally, and ove 20,000 independent salons and spas worldwide. As governments begin lifting stay at home orders worldwide, Dermalogica will be a resource to help guide both large and independent salons in safe reopening protocol.
At press time, it is on track to open the flagship Atlanta location on Friday, May 1.

- Preescreening clients and employees for sickness and contact with confirmed COVID-19 cases.
- Recommending that clients in high-risk, vulnerable groups not get treatments.
- Maintaining physical distancing in common areas.
- Masks are required in common areas. We wear clean masks, face shields and aprons during treatments.
- Washing and sanitizing hands repeatedly.
- Recommending thorough hand washing instead of gloves.
- Disinfecting professional use products after each use.
- Its beds are clean with freshly laundered linens for each client.
- Cleaning and disinfecting all equipment and surfaces before use.
- Storing clean and dirty items and tools separately.
- Disinfecting high-touch areas at least hourly.
- Cleaning retail testers before and after use, apply testers to hands and avoid jars.
