A jury in Illinois has decided in favor of Johnson & Johnson in another lawsuit related to ovarian cancer, which the plaintiff contends stems from using the company’s talc-based baby powder.

Attorneys in that case had asked the jury to award their client between $10 and $50 million in damages for the woman’s physical pain, mental anguish and death at 69, according to local news reports

The ruling in the St. Clair County court followed a situation in which J&J was held in contempt earlier in the week when a defense witness did not appear for cross examination.

J&J has fought lawsuits for years over claims that its baby powder caused cancer. Last May, the company stopped selling talc-based Johnson’s Baby Powder in the US and Canada, attributing the decision to “changes in consumer habits.”
