On the heels of the viral success of KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub with 10% AHA, First Aid Beauty (FAB) has launched “TikTok Made Me Buy It” anthem inspired by the love TikTokers have shown for products they’ve discovered on TikTok, such as the body scrub.
The KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub was featured in a TikTok video by content creator and influencer Wendy Sy that garnered 35 million views in a single week this past summer resulting in the brand’s highest-ever weekly sales for the product.
KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub with 10% AHA ($28) features both chemical and physical exfoliators for skin-polishing power. Glycolic and lactic acids at a combined level of 10% help loosen skin’s top layer and decongest pores, while pumice buffing beads whisk dead skin away. The fast-acting scrub acts as a non-irritating chemical peel and microdermabrasion treatment in one, exfoliating pesky keratosis pilaris patches to reveal radiant skin that feels smooth to the touch.
The brand partnered with Song Candy to create a 38-second song that is the first sound on TikTok to include the words, “TikTok Made Me Buy It.” To kick-off the campaign, FAB partnered with 13 content creator fans of First Aid Beauty, including Jenny Lee (@hkjennylee), Lydia Keating (@lydialoo121), Nikki Garza (@itsnikki.g), and more, to share their love and excitement for the KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub. The song officially launched in the TikTok sound library this month. The brand hopes the song will be used far beyond their campaign as a way for others to share their TikTok finds.
“TikTok has become the go-to hub for new product discovery and ‘show and tell,’ and we can all relate to the excitement we experience when we find something that truly changes the game for us,” says Kerry Eagan, chief marketing officer at First Aid Beauty. “It makes us feel confident, empowered and comfortable in our skin. We wanted to capture that uplifting FAB feeling in this new song and inspire others to share the products they love and have purchased thanks to TikTok.”
