Recall News: Unilever Canada and Elba Inc.

Unilever Canada is recalling four SKUs of Clear for Men Shampoo/Conditioner due to not meeting the specification required for preservatives, according to the company. The products were distributed nationwide starting in 2013 to the present through retail stores.

Specifically, the recall involves:

• Clear Men Shampoo Hydrating Deep Clean 381ml, Consumer Unit UPC: 79400 33254, Expiry Date: EXP DE15 or JA16;
• Clear Men Dry Scalp Hyrdrating 2 in 1 Shampoo 381ml, Consumer Unit UPC 79400 21463, Expiry Date: EXP DE15 or MA16;
• Clear Men Shampoo Cool Sport Mint 381ml, Consumer Unit UPC 79400 23326, Expiry Date: EXP MA16; and
• Clear Men Complete Care 2 in 1 Shampoo 381ml, Consumer Unit UPC 79400 21462, Expiry Date: EXP DE 1.

In addition, bottles of Centurion Fresh Rinse, oral/mouth rinse (59ml bottles) are also being recalled, according to the US FDA. The manufacturer, Elba, Inc., issued a recall of Lot #8365 Product #AFR20. The recall impacts 21,364 bottles of the product said to be contaminated with Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
