Peel-off nail polish has grown by 161.0% compared to last year, and across platforms, analysts say, with TikTok leading the conversation with 52.9% of the Popularity Share, while searches average 3.9K per month on Google, and content generates 364.3K weekly views on TikTok. The appeal spans multiple consumer segments: at-home nail enthusiasts (which could be a recession indicator, analysts say), gel-x wearers and those looking to limit nail damage.

Google currently owns the trend with 69.5% of the Popularity Share and searches averaging 1.9K per month.

On TikTok, jelly nails generate 129.7K average weekly views, with brands like #Makartt, #BeetlesGelPolish and #BornPretty nailing the trend through sharp tutorials and how-to content. From natural to playful and whimsical, this look offers both nude and colorful options, reflecting consumers’ desire to showcase their aesthetic online and offline. This trend’s top-related hashtags are #nailtutorial (104.0K average weekly views) and #nailhack (98.4K average weekly views), which shows that consumers are using the platform to find inspiration and learn techniques.
