Procter & Gamble’s Febreze brand has rolled out a new smart scent diffuser for homeowners. Febreze Airia provides a consistent fragrance experience using patented SmartJet technology that has been adapted from thermal ink-jet printer cartridges. Billed as near-silent technology, it releases micro-droplets that ride the natural air flow and quickly evaporate, according to P&G.

Febreze says the device can provide up to 1,500 square feet of scent coverage and up to 5 months of consistent, no-fade scent freshness per cartridge. The device also has adjustable ambient light color and brightness.

Airia offers customized control of schedule and fragrance intensity through its app. It can also be accessed through Alexa app, Alexa voice and Alexa routines.

There are 13 scents available. The starter kits, which are available on Amazon for $264, offer scents such as Cider and Sandalwood, Nordic Spruce, White Orchid and Manuka Honey Blossom.
