Health Canada Suspends Hand Sanitizer Company’s State License

Recalls PURE75 gel formulation due to potential serious health risks.

PURE75 gel hand sanitizer (NPN 80098346), imported by Haywick Industries, has been recalled by Health Canada. The formulation contains methanol and the product label is also missing important safety information and directions for use, according to Health Canada.
 



This hand sanitizer has been recalled in Canada.

The agency has has suspended the product license for PURE75 gel hand sanitizer due to the health risks. The suspension means that it is illegal for any person or company to sell the product in Canada. 
 
Health Canada requested that the importer, Haywick Industries, stop selling and recall this product. To date, the company has not complied with this request. 
 
In addition, Health Canada suspended Haywick Industries' site license, which means it cannot manufacture, package, label, or import hand sanitizer products.
