Azelis’ submission, 'Time Dilution,' was focused on the need to provide products that address sustainability & environmental concerns.

Azelis, an innovation service provider in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients distribution industry, won the “Coup de Coeur” award at Cosmetagora 2021 in Paris. The competition is open to all exhibitors at this year’s virtual show. Azelis received the award for the formulation “Time Dilution”, a water-free, natural based cream cube. This is the second win for the Azelis France Personal Care team, having won the Gold award in 2017 for their D-Tox Magnetic Mask formulation. About “Time Dilution” Developed at the Personal Care laboratory in La Défense, Paris by Laboratory Manager Sophie Thirion, “Time Dilution” contains more than 98% of natural based ingredients and no water allowing the user to store the cubes in bulk and reduce the need for excessive packaging and the transportation of unnecessary water which in turn helps to reduce the carbon footprint of the product. “Time Dilution” is presented in an easy-to-use, water-free cube format. The user places one cube in a suitable bowl and adds a small amount of very hot water to the cube and begins the mixing process. Vigorous mixing with a spatula will completely solubilize the cube and cool the product. The hotter the water the thicker the resulting cream. After mixing you will obtain a white, smooth cream. Once at room temperature, the product is ready to use. Each cube is enriched with a range of natural based esters to bring comfort and emollience to the skin. Starches have been used to give viscosity and texture and the addition of an oil-based Poppy extract helps improve the elasticity and radiance of the skin while protecting and moisturizing it. Alexandre Skibniewski, regional business manager for Personal Care in Azelis France commented, “We were honored to win the Gold Award in 2017 with our D-Tox Magnetic Mask, and are more than proud in 2021 to receive a second award for this new innovative formulation. This ‘Coup de Coeur’ award confirms the need to focus on sustainability and environmental concerns, but also how important it is to still offer textures and benefits that bring this so important ‘wow’ effect.” With 16 personal care application labs across the world, Azelis’ focus and dedication lie in being an innovative partner to all customers and principals.
