American Cleaning Institute to Host Webinar on Best Practices, Prevention Strategies to Keep School Communities Safe

To support schools’ efforts to provide a healthy learning environment for students, the American Cleaning Institute (ACI) will host a webinar covering best practices and key prevention strategies to keep students, staff, and school communities healthy, on Thursday, Sept. 9 at 1 p.m.

The free webinar entitled, “The Continued Role of Hand Hygiene and Cleaning and Disinfection in Schools,” will be held on Thursday, Sept. 9 at 1 p.m. During the session, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention expert Dr. Vincent Hill will share information and answer questions about hand hygiene and cleaning and disinfection, and discuss solutions to common barriers in schools.

Webinar participants will get access to shareable resources and recommendations about setting good hand hygiene habits, ways to promote hand hygiene in schools, and general cleaning and disinfecting information.

The webinar is part of ACI and the CDC's joint initiative, Healthy Schools, Healthy People, designed to promote hand hygiene and cleaning practices as a means to prevent the spread of infectious disease in schools and reduce illness-related absenteeism. The website offers resources for educators, school nurses, administrators, parents and students.
