More than 7,000 visitors flock to Germany.

It was a hit in Hamburg. In-Cosmetics, returned to Germany earlier this month for the first time in five years, with the most successful edition outside of Paris in the show's history; attendance rose 2% to 7,260 unique visitors (pre-audit), according to show organizers. Germans accounted for 30% of the total attendance, more than double the number of German visitors at any other In-Cosmetics show. That's no surprise, considering that Germany is the largest beauty market in Europe—and Hamburg is home to Beiersdorf, one of the biggest players in the global beauty industry. “As In-Cosmetics is the top European event for new actives and innovations, I am delighted that it took place in Beiersdorf's home town Hamburg,” commented Dr. Ute Breitenbach, Scouting Actives Research & Development, Beiersdorf AG. “I'm amazed at the vast amount of information on display and the opportunity for direct, personal exchange and excellent discussions. I enjoyed the show very much and am looking forward to take the inspiration I get here into my work for our skin care brands like Nivea.” Commenting on the success of the shows return to Germany after a five year reprieve Cathy Laporte, exhibition manager, noted that feedback from exhibitors and visitors was overwhelmingly positive and organizers were pleased that so many people within the industry continue to benefit from the many different show features. ”I look forward to seeing many of our visitors and exhibitors again next April in Barcelona,” she added.
