When it comes to fine fragrance, No. 5 is No. 1. To celebrate the iconic scent and many others, Chanel will launch an immersive beauty exhibition in Paris next month. Debuting on December 15 and running through January 9 at Grand Palais Éphémère, the show, Le Grand Numéro de Chanel, will be a “festive and olfactory whirlwind” that showcases the inspiration behind the French fashion house’s most popular perfumes, according to Chanel, which is ranked No. 9 in Happi’s The International Top 30. Fragrance lovers will discover the expertise and craftsmanship behind scents such as Les Exclusifs De Chanel, Les Eaux De Chanel and Chanel N°5. The project, said to be in development for more than a year, is the brainchild of Thomas du Pré de Saint Maur, head of global creative resources for fragrance and beauty, fine jewelry and watches for Chanel. The exhibition is free, but attendees must register here.
