US Patent No. 11,529,301 B2 (Eric Greenbaum, Justin Bueno, Emily Leuer, Kyle Kingsley); Resurgent Biosciences, Inc., Minneapolis, MN, has patented a composition for lubricating mucous membranes consisting of glycerin, propylene glycol, isomalt, a surfactant or emulsifying agent, preservative, hydroxyethylcellulose, sodium hydroxide, water, and at least one cannabinoid selected from the group consisting of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabidiol (CBD), tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA), cannabidiolic acid (CBDA), cannabinol (CBN), cannabigerol (CBG), cannabichromene (CBC), and tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV). The cannabinoid is complexed with the isomalt in the presence of the surfactant or emulsifying agent.
