Having promoted it at In-Cosmetics, EMD (Booth No. 331) used NYSCC Suppliers’ Day as a way to introduce its newest pigment chemistry, Timiron Ice Crystal, to U.S.-based beauty chemists and formulators.

This large particle size pigment, which officially launches next month, is based on synthetic mica. A cleaner and brighter pigment, it can be used in range of color cosmetics from eye shadows to lip glosses as well as in body lotions (1-2%). Timiron Ice Crystal can be used to add shine or sparkle to formulations and can be used at relatively low levels to achieve the desired affect, according to company officials who spoke with Happi.
