Guy Peyrelongue, president and chief executive officer of L’Oreal USA, will enter the fragrance industry’s Circle of Champions at an awards ceremony to be held Nov. 5 during National Fragrance Week.

The Circle of Champions was created by The Fragrance Foundation to pay tribute, every November, to an individual who has made a notable and newsworthy impact on the fragrance industry within the previous 10 months.

Each year in July, members of The Fragrance Foundation are asked to vote for the year’s inductee. First a nominating ballot is sent to members. After receipt and tabulation, a second ballot listing the top nominees is sent to members to select the winner. Each member company has one vote. Last year, the industry elected Leonard Lauder, chairman of Estee Lauder Co., as the inaugural winner of the Circle of Champions award.

This year’s award’s ceremony will be at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. More info: Nancy Snyder, The Fragrance Foundation, Tel: 212.725.2755 X212; E-mail: [email protected]
