Helen of Troy Looks Victorious

Business moves prove fruitful with 20% sales rise.

Helen of Troy Ltd. said that its fiscal fourth-quarter net income climbed 20% to $29.3 million for the three months ended Feb. 29, 2012, as it benefited from sales of Kaz products and its acquisition of the PUR water-purifier business, according to reports.

The company, which makes Vidal Sassoon hair products and other personal care and housewares items, also featured a rise in revenue, which climbed 24% to $294 million.

For the full year, Helen of Troy’s earnings rose 18% to $110.4 million, while annual revenue improved a whopping 52% to $1.18 billion from $777 million, according to reports. It predicts fiscal 2013 revenue of $1.3 billion.
