JD Jojoba Oil is grown free from pesticides while protecting and preserving the environment.

Sustainability is at the forefront of consumers’ minds when it comes to beauty and personal care, and in 2020, the trend is projected to increase. Moreover, today’s consumer expects transparency and authenticity when it comes to their beauty products. Consumers are hyper-cautious about the ingredients found in the formulations and the product’s life cycles, starting with the raw materials used to create them. When a beauty item can claim to be natural, clean beauty containing sustainably sourced ingredients, and the brand clearly proves it, consumers respond positively with their loyalty. At Jojoba Desert, supplier of Jojoba oil, the company’s operations adhere to strict principles of sustainability. Through their holistic approach, they offer a product which has unique properties for the consumer’s skin, caring and providing only environmentally responsible materials. JD Jojoba Oil is grown free from pesticides while protecting and preserving the environment, making the best possible use of Israel’s Negev Desert and its vast natural resources in an eco-friendly manner. Jojoba Desert is actively engaged in sustainability and biodiversity, taking important steps and managing natural resources which include conserving water. When growing Jojoba up to 95% of reclaimed water is used through drip irrigation technology on non-arable land. This allows avoiding all pesticides, limit use of herbicides, and calculate precisely the amount of nutrients given to each field. By harnessing renewable energy sources (both solar and from discarded waste) and low Green House Gas emission, Jojoba Desert has created an optimal growing environment, without wasting limited resources. Along with their waste management practices, reusing Jojoba pulp to fertilize the fields creates a green environment and a natural habitat for local wildlife in their Jojoba plantations. This brings them back full circle to their philosophy of a holistic approach towards products that are safe both for the consumer and the environment. “Thanks to Jojoba Desert’s commitment to the region, the Negev Desert is going through a process of plantation and de-desertification, and becoming more enriched each year,” said Lee Reuveni, CEO, Jojoba Desert. “The crops provide steady jobs and support hundreds of people across the region. We make wise use of the natural resources, while maintaining a sustainable operation that protects the community and the planet.”
