Kevyn Aucoin Beauty Creates Makeup Look for Marrisa Wilson at NYFW

Pops of orange and green on eye makeup lead with a glowing, fresh face for 2023.

The newest beauty looks for 2023 were revealed at Marrisa Wilson New York Spring/Summer NYFW Runway Show with makeup by Kevyn Aucoin Beauty Global Director of Artistry & Education Nick Lujan.

For Wilson’s show, Lujan featured a bright, smokey eye and glowing, fresh skin.

“For Marrisa Wilson’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection, we were inspired by all of the colors, the culture, the people and the energy of Guyana. There’s pops and flashes of orange and green seen in the colors and the market environment that is represented in the inner corner of the eye. A touch of glitter under the lash represents the ocean and ocean life, bringing the story of the collection to life. The key feature for this look, and all of the looks this fashion week, is glowing, fresh skin. It’s always in, but especially going into the early part of 2023,” said Lujan.

The team was inspired by all of the colors, the culture, the people and the energy of Guyana.

Oribe Styles Hair at Show

The Marrisa Wilson Spring/Summer 2023 Collection drew inspiration from the designer’s Guyanese-American heritage. “It is that feeling of the past and the present coming together to inform the future that I wanted to evoke,” she said of the collection.

Expressive prints, watercolor strokes and brightly colored feathers are complemented by a hair look that brings the theme “Of Many Waters” to life. Kien Hoang, Oribe Principal Artist of Content and Styling, created a variation of braided styles, all adorned with clear beads in a range of sizes to mimic rain drops.
