Haus Laboratories by Lady Gaga says it is embarking on its “second chapter” with a slate of new hires. According to the El Segunda, CA-based company, there are more than 20 new team members, four newly rebuilt departments—product development, packaging, marketing, creative— and new vice presidents and senior directors with deep and wide expertise in beauty, retail and innovation. The newly announced Haus Laboratories vice presidents and senior directors include: • Susan Bates, VP of package development. Bates, formerly with H20+, Sharps, Prada Beauty and Bliss, reports into Gloria Ryu, SVP product innovation. • Angela “AK” Kongelbak, VP of creative. Kongelbak has worked with Item Beauty by Addison Rae, Tresluce Beauty by Becky G, Kat Von D Beauty and BareMinerals/Buxom. • May Key Lee, senior director of VM and creative. Lee joins Kongelbak and the creative team. Lee came from Old Navy, Fenty Beauty and BareMinerals. • Irene Seferian, VP of product marketing and education. Seferian has worked for Kat Von D / KVD Beauty, Pravana and Sephora. • Anh Ho, senior director of education. Ho, who joins Seferian and the marketing, social, PR and education team, recently came from Forma Brands/Morphe /REM Beauty, Prior, Kat Von D Beauty, BareMinerals and MAC. • Dave Marchi, VP of public relations and partnerships. He has worked with Mattel and Sanrio, including leading successful Hello Kitty beauty collaborations with Sephora, MAC and ColourPop. Kongelbak, Seferian and Marchi report to CMO Kelly Coller, formerly of Kat von D Beauty, NYX Cosmetics and Sephora Originals brands. The new vice presidents and team members join existing Haus digital leaders Molly Rosenman (VP of digital), Hari Ranganathan (VP of growth) and their teams, new-to-Haus global beauty veterans and disrupters Gloria Ryu (SVP of product and innovation) and Coller along with founding c-suite leaders, CFO Ashumi Shippee and CEO/co-founder Ben Jones. “At Haus, we are a small and mighty independent startup establishing a new way to build beauty brands, from the inside out. We've got people with big hearts and big ideas. Having beauty and retail expertise is cost-of-entry and we have it in spades. But it is who and how you build brands with, that matters,” said Coller. “Positivity, a sense of humor, strategy, and designing an ego-free environment is what we have collectively created.
