NYFW: Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa is Busy Backstage

Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa Hair Stylist and Educator Wade Lee created a “raw and lived in” hairstyle to compliment the nomadic style of Vivienne Tam’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection. Hair is down and natural looking to showcase its body and texture.
 
How to get this look? First, spray hair with water and release its natural texture with Olivia Garden’s Divine Wet Detangler Brush. Next, blow dry hair using a diffuser and spray Kérastase Spray À Porter onto hair to add texture. Then, create a middle part and smooth out the roots using the Olivia Garden’s Divine 100% Boar Styler Brush to allow hair to remain natural and soft looking. Separate hair into sections, then take one section at a time and wrap around a large curling iron or wand barrel at the midshaft of hair. Next take the same section of hair and wrap around the barrel in the opposite direction from the midshaft to the ends. Hair should look light and airy throughout the bottom without volume at the roots. Finish by lightly spraying Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Oil Spray onto the palms of hands and glide over hair to add shine and definition.
 
Red Door Spa Creative Lead Nail Artist Iwona Opiola created a dark nail to compliment the rich textures of Vivienne Tam’s collection using Essie’s Spun In Luxe.
 
In other NYFW news, Red Door Spa’s National Style Education Director Tim Wandrey created a minimal and clean hairstyle to balance the large fur collars and timeless style of Dennis Basso’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection. Hair is pulled away from the face for an overall sophisticated yet chic look. Red Door Spa’s Makeup Artist Buffy Hernandez created a timeless, natural look with luminous skin.

A clean canvas was created with Elizabeth Arden’s Super Start to help improve skin’s appearance. Then prime the skin with Elizabeth Arden’s Flawless Start Instant Perfecting Primer to help smooth uneven texture and diminish the appearance of pores, fine lines and wrinkles. Next, moisturize the lips with Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream and blot off at end of makeup application so lips will be left hydrated. Then, apply a light coverage foundation to skin such as Elizabeth Arden’s Visible Difference BB Cream or Elizabeth Arden’s Flawless Finish Foundation. To help conceal dark circles and imperfections, apply Elizabeth Arden Correcting Highlighter for a brightening effect.
 
Red Door Spa’s National Director for Nails Adeline Sarino buffed the nails leaving them clean and simple and used a dark nail color on toes to complement the rich textures of the collection. Essie’s Lady Godiva was the key color.
 
Red Door Spa Hair Stylist and Educator Wade Lee created a clean, minimalist hair look to accompany Mi Jong Lee’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection. Hair was delicately pulled back and away from the face, with a few loose pieces to create a soft and effortless effect.
