Perfect Corporation Reveals Global Beauty Consumer Preferences

Latest report highlights the biggest trends in color cosmetics and virtual shopping.

Perfect Corp., the artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) beauty and fashion tech solutions provider, released its Beauty and Fashion Tech Trends Around the World report, providing brands with deep insight on top lipstick shades and other consumer preferences in beauty and fashion.
 
The report analyzes data sourced from Perfect Corp.s YouCam suite of apps. It focuses on user data sourced from nine key regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, and China.

Eyeshadow try-ons are surging in the YouCam app.

Lipcolor Trends & Eye Makeup Try-Ons

Consumers are re-discovering lip color while gravitating towards the low-maintenance and natural beauty trend that rose to prominence during the pandemic. There were +800 Million lip color try-ons in the YouCam Makeup app in 1H 2022, said the report.
 
Muted red tones and dusty pink shades have started to trend globally as well. 
 
Meanwhile, the eye makeup category garnered 1.3 Billion virtual try-ons in 1H 2022, the highest of any category, with eyebrow try-on achieving the highest number of try-ons for any type of sku.
