US Patent No. 11,801,213 B2 (Casey Patrick Kelly, Charles Allen Pettigrew, Gregory Scot Miracle, Patrick Christopher Stenger, Kenneth LaMont Martin, Jennifer Gentry Shields, Justin Angelo Caserta, James Patrick Henry); The Procter & Gamble Company has patented a shampoo composition comprising 10-20% of a detersive surfactant; 0.1-10% of 1-hydroxy-4-methyl-6-(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)-2-pyridone monoethanolamine salt; 0.3-6% of diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid wherein the combination of 1-hydroxy-4-methyl-6-(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)-2-pyridone monoethanolamine salt and diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid has a modified fractional inhibitor concentration of less than about 50 ppm; and 40- 95% aqueous carrier.
