Orchidia Fragrances Reveals Spice Segment To Grow in Natural Fragrance Ingredients

Warm spice, spicy & fruity and spicy floral are expected to rise in popularity.

While fresh florals traditionally dominate the season’s retail shelves, destination-inspired spicy and sultry aromas have claimed their space, according to the Orchidia Fragrances July Trendwatch Report. 
 
Expert Market Research projects the spice segment to acquire roughly half of the natural fragrance ingredients market share by 2027 at $24.55 billion.
 
Spicy summer fragrances often fall into one of the following sub-groups: warm spice, spicy & fruity, or spicy floral. Warm spicy fragrances often combine gourmand notes like cardamon and vanilla with seasonal classics like coconut and contain heavier base notes known to keep fragrance on the skin longer. Citrus and fig have become prevalent staples in fruity and spicy blends, inspiring new products like Nest’s Indigo perfume. Pink pepper is paving the way for spicy floral medleys like the sultry and fresh Fiery Pink Pepper by Molton Brown
