The Inkey List is entering a new beauty category. Tripeptide Plumping Lip Balm will be available at Sephora next week (August 28) and on The Inkey List website on September 1.

The formula is said to plump lips with moisture, via “hyaluronic filling spheres.” The tripeptides help strengthen the skin barrier. The lip balm also contains chia seed oil, squalane and mango butter. In one clinical study, when used three times a day, the formula plumped lips up to 40% in four weeks, according to The Inkey List. The lip balm retails for $12.99.

According to CEO Stephanie Davis Michelman, The Inkey List relies on hero ingredients such as hyaluronic acid to expand into new beauty cateories. The company already offers an HA-based serum. Another category of interest to The Inkey List is acne.
