Unilever Taps Peloton Instructor Emma Lovewell for Michiru Haircare Campaign

Products are seeing success at Target with traditional Japanese-inspired ingredients like rice protein, sakura flower, citrus yuzu and silk powder.

Unilever’s new scalp-care brand, Michiru, has partnered with Peloton instructor Emma Lovewell.

In fact, the “skin-ification” of the scalp and hair is a major trend right now. According to the Happi Top 30 company, “Japanese Scalp Treatments” has 267M views on TikTok and 83% YoY growth on Google searches.

Lovewell posted on IG here announcing the partnership. In the past few years, the lifestyle expert has also worked with P&G, as reported in Happi.

After launching at Target this past February, Michiru products are seeing success in the marketplace so far. All SKUs are infused with traditional Japanese-inspired ingredients likerice protein, sakuraflower, citrus yuzu and silk powder.
