‘Vacation’ Candle Recalled Due to Fire, Laceration Hazards

The commission blew the whistle on some 13,000 units due to the candle’s high burning flames, which can cause the glass container to break.

Purchasers of Vacation Black Label Scented Candles’ “The Legendary Vacation,” a candle that promises the reverie of poolside memories, are getting their money back.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission on Thursday announced that the candle has been recalled due to fire and laceration hazards.

The commission blew the whistle on some 13,000 units due to the candle’s high-burning flames, which can cause the glass container to break, posing fire and laceration hazards.

The candle, which retails for $42, touts the aroma of “the world’s best-smelling sunscreen” in a deluxe perfumed candle form that features a rich, double concentrated blend of the award-winning signature fragrance “Vacation” by Vacation. Purchasers are asked to contact the brand for a refund.
