The global spread of novel coronavirus COVID-19 has wreaked havoc for the global economy, including event organizers that have called off or postponed industry events around the world, including those attended by readers of Happi.
Perhaps, the biggest industry event impacted to date is In-Cosmetics Global. The global exhibition and conference for cosmetics formulating was slated for March 31-April 2 in Barcelona, but will now be held June 30-July 2. For updates and further information, visit: www.in-cosmetics.com/global.
Luxe Pack Shanghai organizers rescheduled their show for July 7-8 at the Shanghai Exhibition Center. It had been scheduled for held April 8-9. However, Luxe Pack New York, at press time, was still on schedule for May 6-7 at the Javits Center.
BolognaFiere Cosmoprof SpA, organizer of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, announced that the 2020 edition will be postponed to June 11-15, 2020. It was to be held March 12-16.
PCHi, which was to be held Feb. 26-28 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, has been rescheduled to June 2-4.
The Beauty Experience NY (IBS NY) and International Esthetics, Cosmetics and Spa Conference (IECSC) events were cancelled just days before the doors were set to open this week.
Citing corporate travel restrictions, and as a precaution, Women in Flavor & Fragrance Commerce (WFFC) announced the postponement of its 2020 education seminar, “Yes She Can: Woman Thriving in Flavor and Fragrance,” to Sept. 30, 2020.
The Green Chemistry and Commerce Council (GC3) has postponed its European Innovators Roundtable, which was originally scheduled in Amsterdam on April 15-16. At press time, a new date had not been scheduled.
Most recently, the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) canceled the annual AAD meeting, which was scheduled for March 19-23 in Denver, CO. There are no plans to reschedule the event.
