As a professional salon leader and female-founded brand, Redken is backed by both state-of-the-art science and a legacy of innovation that dates back to the 1960s with its founders, actress Paula Kent and hairdresser/chemist Jheri Redding. Redken always been powered by science with formulas based on protein, moisture and acidic pH for healthy hair. It’s also always been prescribed by pros, whether they’re behind the chair, working on set, or getting their clients red carpet-ready.
In 2021, Redken adds new milestones to its history: a full hair care brand renovation and 60 years of innovation in one range.
A New Look
Redken has relaunched its haircare range across shampoos, conditioners and treatments into new, Cradle To Cradle-certified packaging that’s recyclable and comprised of at least 93% recycled plastic. The company also partnered with The Braille Institute to add Braille to the shampoo and conditioner packaging to make it more accessible to all clients. In an effort to support our salons and stylists, Redken has also created exclusive, 16.9oz shampoos and conditioners that will only be available to salons in efforts to support stylists and give them a competitive retailing edge across the country.
The overall Redken Haircare Renovation will be available on SalonCentric and SalonCentric.com.
Product Rollouts
In addition to a new look, Redken also launched a new Volume Injection Shampoo and Conditioner range this month. Redken’s Haircare Renovation also brings an additional new range to Redken – its Redken Volume Injection Shampoo and Conditioner, which feature pH-balancing formulas that are formulated with filloxane—known to help penetrate and expand hair’s diameter from the inside out while softening strands. The new Redken Volume Injection Shampoo and Conditioner are available now.
Redken kicked off this new look and overall renovation in February with the Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate range, which is a culmination of 60 years of research and innovations, as reported in Happi.
