Whether it's music or branding, Lady Gaga has always been one step ahead of her competitors. So it's no surprise that her Haus Laboratories beauty company is embracing the digital space. A recent survey conducted by Klarna, the buy now, pay later platform Haus has partnered with, revealed that among the 41,000 consumers queried, nearly half prefer mobile shopping and 87% expect their retailers to have mobile apps.
While it embraces digital, Haus Laboratories is embracing diversity, too, and on multiple levels that includes not not just gender and race, but economic inclusivity, as well. Ryan Kang, head of business development and operations at Haus Laboratories, notes that the brand donates a dollar per purchase made on its website to a mental health cause.
Looking ahead, Kang expects live streaming to make its way from China to the US. “[In] countries such as China, livestreaming has driven billions and billions of dollars in revenue,” he told WWD. “We’re getting very close to seeing that happen in the United States.”
