Christophe de Villeplee, who has been with IFF since 1999, has been named president of the fragrance supplier’s Scent division. Most recently, he served as president of global consumer fragrances. de Villeplee replaces Nicolas Mirzayantz, who was appointed president of IFF’s Nourish division. The moves are effective Sept. 1, 2021.
Mirzayantz succeeds Kathy Fortmann, current president, Nourish, who has decided to pursue other opportunities outside of IFF.
Earlier this month, IFF reported double-digit gains in the second quarter. According to CEOAndreas Fibig the company increased its sales expectation for the full year, and expects to deliver approximately 7% growth on a combined company basis.
"Given the inflationary environment, we are successfully increasing prices over time and driving expense reductions to support long-term profitability—albeit we have some short-term pressure in 2021," said Fibig. "We are also investing in incremental capacity and strategically increasing inventory levels in our high value businesses to ensure we maintain strong top-line momentum while improving returns moving forward.”
