A family-owned candle and home fragrance products maker in Mayfield, KY was hard it by the devastating tornadoes that ripped through the southern portion of the US last night. According to reports citing Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, 110 people were inside Mayfield Consumer Products LLC’s factory at the time.
A report on Kentucky.com posted at 1:29 pm on Dec. 11, 2021 said 40 people been rescued.
The company, which was founded in 1998, was actively hiring new staff in the weeks prior to last night’s devastating storms.
In 2018, Mayfield Consumer Products announced a $8.2 million investment to buy and renovate of an existing 80,000-square-foot-plus facility in Mayfield and expand its existing operations.
