Gwen Stefani is launching her own cosmetics line. GXVE debuts March 3 on www.gxve.com and at Sephora on March 7. Products in the collection (pronounced "give") are priced between $21 and $48. There's four shades of eye shadow; pencil eyeliner in black and blue; two brow pencils; a skin care oil primer, and, obviously, lipstick. The Grammy Award winner has always worn bold red lip color. GXVE's version is a bright red lipstick in matte and satin, and a longwear matte liquid. Post-launch more shades will debut.
GXVE is a partnership with Nikki Eslami, cofounder of Bellami and New Theory Ventures, Eslami’s venture capital firm that invests in early-stage, women-led projects with a social purpose. Stefani is just the latest beauty influencer to launch her own brand.
GXVE may be Stefani's first cosmetics line, but she's no stranger to the cosmetics business. While creating No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom album, Stefani worked at an Ultima II counter. Before that, she was a big fan of Mary Kay. And once she hit the big time, Stefani was a spokesperson for L'Oréal and OPI, and launched a limited edition collection for Urban Decay in 2015. Later, in 2017, Stefani was tapped by Revlon to be a global brand ambassador.
But GXVE is a culmination of everything Stefani wants in a beauty line. All products are products are cruelty-free, utilize refillable packaging and meet the Clean by Sephora standards.
