Meet Sephora’s 2022 #SephoraSquad

In the program’s fourth year, the 2022 squad is comprised of 70 inspiring artists, storytellers and beauty enthusiasts—78% of which make up BIPOC creators.

Sephora has announced the 2022 #SephoraSquad! 
 
Currently in its fourth year, the 2022 crew is comprised of 70 inspiring artists, storytellers and beauty enthusiasts with a range of interests, points of view and followers—78% of whom are BIPOC creators.
 
In 2019, Sephora set out to cultivate a welcoming and inclusive community to celebrate diverse voices in beauty who are also representative of the Sephora beauty community. The #SephoraSquad was designed to amplify and mentor Sephora employees and beauty lovers of all races, ethnicities, religions, ages, body types, sexual orientations, following sizes and experience levels. The program entails a yearlong, paid-partnership with creators to work on a variety of campaigns and marketing initiatives. Members receive peer and professional coaching, opportunity to grow their following, networking access with industry leaders and brands, and involvement in Sephora campaigns
 
For the 2022 program, nearly 10,000 applications were vetted; 40% more than the previous year. This year, 78% were members of the BIPOC community: 33% Black; 22% Hispanic/Latinx; and 18% Asian.  
 
On average, TikTok follower count increased 53% for the 2021 #SephoraSquad over the course of the program. In regards to gender diversity, 86% were female, 11% male and 3% non-binary members.
