Fenty Eau de Parfum – the first luxury fragrance from Rihanna and Fenty Beauty – is back in stock and will continue to be available around the world as it officially becomes a core fixture in the Fenty Beauty collection.
Originally launched as limited-edition in 2021, Fenty Eau de Parfum sold out within hours of each restock. The complex and vibrant scent is designed for all people and all occasions.
“What began as a garden walk in the global center of perfume became an unapologetic expression of my full and true essence,” said Founder and CEO Rihanna. “The experience begins as soon as you lay eyes on the bottle. This isn’t about fantasy – I wanted to experience truth. Fenty Eau de Parfum is for remembering what’s real. I made a fragrance for myself and am now sharing it with you.”
Rihanna created Fenty Eau de Parfum as a scent personal both to herself and to others. It evokes the memories, connections and experiences unique to each person through the power of scent. She hand-selected key notes of magnolia, musk, tangerine and Bulgarian rose in the world’s fragrance capital, Grasse, France, alongside world-renowned LVMH Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, to create a sensual warm floral experience that is inspired by distinct memories and places that Rihanna cherishes from throughout her life – Bridgetown, Barbados; Grasse, France; New York, New York; Paris, France; Los Angeles, California.
“I wanted to celebrate the woman she is,” said Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud. “The very first meeting took place in Grasse, and it was really something that I will never forget. Because this place is fully of the history of perfumes, we had a very nice session of working and discovering the garden. It was very symbolic that Rihanna could come and spend hours with me. I knew then that I had to create something that I’d never created before.”
What the brand calls an embodiment of Rihanna, the bottle was designed to fit perfectly in her hand and represents a harmonious balance of femininity and masculinity, vintage and modern, with its curved body and beautiful amber-brown shade (Rihanna’s favorite color).
“I wanted a rich color that really represented all genders from across all walks of life. Brown is my favorite color. Brown is who I am. Brown is what I come from. If I’m going to make a fragrance that represents me, even the body language of the bottle needs to marry that,” Rihanna explained. “So, I wanted something brown, but also transparent – so you could see the liquid and the fragrance you’re about to experience.”
