US Patent No. 11,583,480 B2 (Jennifer Lynn Paulucci, Jaimie Mecca, Patricia Brieva); L’Oréal, Paris, has patented an oil-in-water composition comprising one or more antioxidants selected from diethylhexyl syringylidene malonate, tocopherol and mixture thereof; one or more SPF boosters including a plurality of light refracting bodies includes a styrene-acrylate copolymer composition; one or more acrylate-based polymer capable of stabilizing the composition; one or more organic UV filters; one or more thickeners; and one or more film formers; one or more nonionic emulsifiers selected from the group consisting of a polyol ester, a glycerol ether, an oxyethylenated and/or oxypropylenated ether, and/or an ethylene glycol polymer, and mixture thereof. The composition is essentially free of oxybenzone.
