US Patent No. 11,602,497 B2 (Daniel Thomas Nowlan, III); ELC Management, Melville, NY, has patented a hair bleaching composition that has at least one gallic acid derivative of the following formula (shown below).
R1 represents an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, an ammonium salt, or an alkyl or alkenyl group having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms; and R2, R3, and R4 independently represent a residue of a monosaccharide, a disaccharide or an oligosaccharide.
The composition also contains at least one amino acid and/or at least one amino acid derivative; at least one oxidizing agent; and optionally, at least one hair care agent and/or at least one hair treatment agent.
