P&G Patents Hair Conditioner with Warming Sensation

Two separate components provide a sensorial benefit when dispensed.

US Patent No. 11,752,074 B2 (Martin Chang Shou Lee, Jun Ji Zhang); The Procter & Gamble Company has earned a new patent for a hair conditioner composition that when dispensed has a warming benefit. This conditioner has two parts that are kept separate from one another until dispensed.

The first composition consists of behentrimonium chloride, cetrimonium chloride, distearyl dimethyl ammonium chloride, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, dimethicone, polyethylene/polypropylene block copolymer, polypropylene glycol, methyl bis-(oleyl amidoethyl) 2-hydroxyethyl ammonium methosulfate, anhydrous magnesium sulfate, preservatives, perfume and polyethylene glycol.

The second composition consists of behenyl trimethyl ammonium methosulfate, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, benzyl alcohol,disodium EDTA, polysorbate 20, citric acid, silicone compound, preservatives, perfume and deionized water.

The difference in viscosities between the first and second composition is less than 3.5 Pa·s.
