A new kid has just moved onto the beauty block and I’ve got all the much requested news for you. Voluma XC is the newest Hyaluronic Acid filler in the Juvederm family and true to form; the new treatment has piqued our interest and seemingly risen to popularity overnight. With some of the other fillers familiarity breeds contempt is the phrase that comes to mind, but not so with Voluma XC. Popularity is here to stay for this new miracle product and rightfully so!
While were going about our business and day to day tasks, nature was working its cruel course and we realize our once full, supple skin has hallowed out. But fear not! Deposited into the cheeks and mid face, Voluma vamps up our visage instantly by restoring the youthful curves of our countenance, filling and rounding those areas that may have lost some elasticity over time.
I know what you’re thinking, “You renamed Botox.” But the differences couldn’t be more apart! Voluma is the newest addition to the Juvederm family; a molecule that allows for higher cross-linking of the chains which in turn gives better lifting capacity and increases the duration of the effects. So while you could be going for Botox injections every 3-6 months, Voluma can keep you looking fresh faced for up to two years!
The process for injection is incredibly simple for both the injector and the patient. After an easy procedure, patients will find themselves gazing into a mirror on the wall at the fairest woman with the most youthfully plump face of them all. Not only will the results feel as natural as they look, but they will last.
As with other fillers, approximately 1-3 syringes will be used depending on the amount of volume loss. Aside from the slight redness, swelling or bruising that may occur at the site of the injection, the procedure won’t slow you down one bit. You are free to continue ruling the world as soon as you step out of the door.
I was able to use the product first hand at the Ukrainian Aesthetic Conference in Yalta last May and I was so wowed that I immediately booked a trip to Canada for private injection training with one of Voluma’s top injectors. It is a revolutionary product that my long list of patients waiting to receive the procedure and I are excited to have at Spatique Medical Spa.
We should be seeing much more of Voluma before the end of the year when it is FDA approved, and I for one can’t wait!
