Vera Neumann was an American artist and entrepreneur best known for her boldly colored linen patterns and scarves signed "Vera" with a little ladybug. Vintage styles from the 1960s and 1970s were often topped with a Vera scarf in breezy pastels.
Now, in the same manner as its noteworthy Lilly Pulitzer project in 2010, M·A·C Cosmetics will debut a limited edition collaboration with the artist known worldwide as Vera. In shades plucked straight from her most lavish prints, M·A·C Vera embraces the luxe, lighter-than-air spirit that delivers the kind of startling, look-at-me statement that defines what it means to be an instant classic, according to the company.
Leading the way is the Pearlmatte Face Powder ($28). Printed like a Vera scarf complete with signature, there are two color variations: Sunday Afternoon, which is bright pink/bright fuchsia/soft pale pink with white pearl; and Flower Fantasy, a pale coral with slight gold pearl/slightly blue pale pink and soft pale salmon. Stunning!
The line will debut Feb. 9 in North America, globally in March 2012.
