Power Paper's disposable iontophoretic patches dramatically increase the penetration of cosmetic formulations and significantly enhance efficacy. Patches combine passive delivery for formulations with oil-soluble actives, enhanced passive delivery to enable an occlusion effect; and active delivery, in which a mild electrical current delivers water-soluble charged and uncharged actives.
Enhanced actives, when combined with Power Paper's active patch technology, can thus achieve a major objective of modern cosmetology, namely the penetration to the epidermis of both lipid-soluble and water-soluble actives. Merits of this technology include:
•Non-invasive techniques as a substitute for chemical enhancers;
•Lower variability of delivery;
•Delivery of lipid-soluble and water-soluble actives in the same treatment;
•Reduced quantities of expensive actives; and
•Condensed frequency and duration of treatment.
Two types of patches are available: Power Paper Hydrogel patches, in which a medical-grade, water-based hydrogel formulation is integrated into the patch; and Power Paper Nonwoven patches, in which the patch is designed for use with various cosmetic formulations.
Power Paper's product line includes anti-wrinkle patches for the eye, lion lines, and upper lip, as well as anti-eye puffiness and a combo eye patch to treat wrinkles, dark circles, and puffiness.After a brief 20-minute treatment, users experience a host of immediate benefits, including:
•Reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles;
•Diminished appearance of crow's feet;
•Smoother, silkier skin around the eye contour;
•Extra moisture delivered to the skin;
•Improved firmness of the eye contour and
•Erased signs of fatigue.
